Lisa Kalke grew up in the fjords of Scandinavia. Her daddy insisted she chip in around the homestead and she was given the task of cutting up driftwood with a rusty bowsaw they kept in a shed down on the beach. By the time she was 9 she could buck a 30" round of spruce in two strokes. She cut the wood for the fiddle she plays today just by looking at it.
